Terms of Service
Last updated: July 5, 2026
1. Who we are
ShopReceptionist.com is operated by Ronald Navarrete in Toronto, Canada. These Terms govern your use of the website, demos, pilot setup, and paid AI phone answering services.
2. The service
ShopReceptionist provides AI phone answering for auto repair businesses. The service can answer calls, collect repair-intake details, capture appointment requests, route information, and send summaries for follow-up.
The service does not diagnose vehicles, quote binding repair prices, guarantee parts availability, provide emergency dispatch, or replace a licensed technician, service advisor, or emergency service provider.
3. Pilot terms
The $97 CAD Founding Pilot deposit reserves setup time and is credited toward the first paid month if you continue after the pilot.
The deposit is refundable if ShopReceptionist does not deliver the pilot setup. Main-line forwarding does not begin until the client approves the call flow and setup.
4. Subscriptions
Paid plans are month-to-month unless a separate written agreement says otherwise. You may cancel anytime, effective at the end of the current billing period.
Pricing is as published on the website or as agreed in writing for your account.
5. Client responsibilities
Clients are responsible for having the right to forward or connect their business phone line to the service.
Clients are responsible for informing their customers of call recording and AI use as required by applicable law. ShopReceptionist provides an in-call disclosure, but each client remains responsible for its own legal obligations and customer communications.
6. Service availability
ShopReceptionist uses reasonable efforts to keep the service available and operating properly, but does not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or always-available service.
The service is not a substitute for emergency services. Emergency, safety-critical, or urgent situations should be handled through appropriate human or emergency channels.
7. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, ShopReceptionist's liability is limited to the fees paid by the client for the service in the three months before the event giving rise to the claim.
To the extent permitted by law, ShopReceptionist is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or lost-profit damages.
8. Privacy
Recordings, transcripts, contact details, and related call information are handled according to the Privacy Policy. Please review it for information about retention, privacy requests, advertising cookies, and service providers.
Read the full Privacy Policy.
9. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada, and applicable Canadian federal laws.
10. Changes and contact
ShopReceptionist may update these Terms from time to time. Questions about these Terms can be sent to hello@shopreceptionist.com.
These terms are under periodic legal review.
