FAQ

Straight answers about the ShopReceptionist Revenue Desk.

Automotive-specific intake, managed follow-up, clear consent, a protected pilot, and honest outcome reporting.

What is ShopReceptionist Revenue Desk?

It is a managed capture, follow-up, recovery, retention, and reporting service for independent automotive businesses. Joy handles the AI call intake while a managed workflow helps the shop move each permitted opportunity toward a clear outcome.

Who is it built for?

Independent repair shops with roughly one to five bays, mobile mechanics, tire shops, brake and suspension shops, and owners relying on voicemail, cellphones, paper, email, basic calendars, or existing shop software.

Does it replace our service advisor or shop software?

No. It adds overflow and after-hours protection plus managed follow-up around the workflow you already use. Your team retains diagnosis, pricing, calendar, consent, booking, and repair decisions.

What does Joy collect?

Joy collects the caller name and callback number, vehicle year, make and model, repair problem or symptoms, urgency, and preferred timing. Joy can offer a human transfer, voicemail, or callback request.

Will Joy pretend to be human?

No. Joy introduces herself as an AI assistant and discloses recording and transcription at the beginning of the call. Callers can ask for voicemail or a human callback.

Can Joy diagnose the vehicle or quote a repair price?

No. Joy captures information and routes the next step. She does not diagnose a vehicle, promise parts availability, provide emergency dispatch, or quote a binding repair price.

How does the C$97 Revenue Pilot work?

The 14-day pilot starts on a safe test number, covers five agreed call situations and up to 100 live AI minutes, sends instant shop notifications, and ends with an outcome report. Main-line forwarding begins only after approval.

When is the pilot deposit refundable?

The activation deposit is refunded only if Joy fails the five test-call situations agreed before setup. It is credited toward the first paid month if the shop continues. There is no booking or revenue guarantee.

Can ShopReceptionist follow up on declined work?

The Revenue Desk can support managed declined-work and unbooked-inquiry follow-up when the shop has a legally permitted channel and valid consent. Transactional messages are kept separate from marketing or reactivation campaigns.

How do review requests work?

After the shop marks service complete, it can send an owner-approved review request with its review link. Dissatisfied customers can be routed to private feedback. ShopReceptionist does not promise a number of reviews or manipulate reviews.

How is revenue attribution tracked?

The system records the opportunity and follow-up. The shop confirms the booking, show-up, and invoice value for the managed weekly report unless a supported integration is agreed in writing.

What happens when someone opts out?

Commercial follow-up stops after booking, decline, withdrawal of consent, or an opt-out such as STOP. Messages identify the sender and consent records should be maintained for marketing or reactivation activity.
